If tracking into the orthopedic surgery residency, all first year residents (interns/PGY1) will have to complete an osteopathic internship.
PCOM Internship (Roxborough Memorial Hospital / Chestnut Hill Hospital / Aria Health System) – 6 months orthopedics, 2 months general surgery, 1 month emergency medicine, 1 month anesthesia, and 2 months internal medicine. Interns are required to attend all conferences, OITE reviews, journal clubs and other academic endeavors when their call schedule allows. They are also required to take the OITE in the fall.
